St. Cloud Technical and Community College will be hosting the largest VEX Robotics Tournament in the state of Minnesota on February 2-3, 2018.
Sixty high school, forty middle school and fifty elementary school teams will vie for the title of VEX Robotics State Champion at the River’s Edge Convention Center. The teams come from as far away as Grygla and Windom. By succeeding in local competitions across the state participating teams earned an invitation to compete at the highest level in the state tournament.
The VEX Robotics Design System offers students an exciting platform for learning about areas rich with career opportunities spanning Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The also learn sportsmanship, team work, design and more.
The teams will compete in 7 qualification matches in 2 days before they move on to the elimination rounds. The State Champions, along with some other judged awards, will get an invitation to compete in the World Championship in Louisville, Kentucky in April. There is no cost to attend the tournament – it is a free source of inspiration and entertainment!
